Glutenfreie Spekulatius-Taler mit gehobelten Mandeln

Gluten-free speculoos thalers with sliced almonds

I just baked these delicious speculoos thalers with flaked almonds! The warm spices and crunchy almonds make these cookies the perfect Christmas treat. Try them yourself with this easy recipe.

For the recipe you need the following ingredients:

50g butter,
100g powdered sugar,
100g gluten-free flour mix ,
3 teaspoons speculoos (or gingerbread spice),
2 liquid egg whites,
200g sliced almonds 120g butter.

Preparation:

Melt the butter at low temperature (about 50 degrees). Mix the melted butter with the icing sugar, flour, speculoos spice and the two egg whites to form a smooth, spreadable dough.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Using a wet tablespoon, divide the dough into pieces about 6-8 cm in diameter and spread the pieces individually into thin thalers on a baking tray lined with baking paper. See the picture of the recipe so you can imagine the end result. I like to use reusable parchment paper. The thalers can also be easily detached from this.
Sprinkle the thalers with sliced almonds and bake in the hot oven for about 12 minutes until golden brown.
Then let the thalers cool down and carefully remove them from the baking paper. Store the pastries in a pastry box. We have our cans here, which are wonderfully suitable for this: to the cans .

Bon appetit.
